Thank you for forcing me to watch The Help over the Christmas vacation. I really didn’t want to see it, but then I enjoyed it so much that I rushed out to buy the book the next day!
Reading the book is a lot like reading a screenplay of the movie. There are some parts that are different, but unless you luvvvvvved the movie, I don’t know if you need to read the book too. Of course, people might think you are a philistine who only watches the movie and never reads the book, so you will have to weigh your options.
Now that I have finished The Help, I can start on my New Year’s resolution of reading 52 books. Bossypants is waiting for me at the library! That will be book one of 2012.
Well, back to the grind.
