This image is of an antique desk calendar that belonged to your great grandfather. It is a bit grungy-looking, but when you are almost 100, I bet you won’t be looking sparkling-new either. Anyway, it belongs to me now, so quit yer complainin’.

Funny you mention scrambled eggs on toast, as that was offered to me for lunch today, but I opted for leftover pizza instead (never let pizza go to waste!).

This is what I have done today, on the first day of the year:

Going clockwise:

1. Stitching project is almost done. I started it in January 2010, and it has been nothing but trouble. I will give you all the deets once it is done and framed.

2. January’s Vogue was not bad. I learned that Meryl Steep identified lots with Margaret Thatcher, and did the project because she wanted to explore the themes of power, and losing power. I am going to see that movie. I also learned that porcelain-white skin is coming back in fashion! Wheee :)

3. McDonalds coffee is a mild and pleasant blend. I also enjoy the insulated cup.

4. The Steve Jobs book is very good so far! I’m only about 40 pages in, but I’m not surprised it’s sold bazillions of copies. It was a great choice for my first book of 2012.

OK, Mr. Lazy, I hope you’ve had an equally productive day so far. Don’t go lazing it away.

TTYS,

Miss Giggles
