Hello Mr. Lazy,

That orzo salad looked delicious! If I cooked, I would be tempted to make it myself. Since I don’t, though, I will just have to hope that one day you will make it for me!

Mrs. Obama wrote a book that you should get out from the library.

It is called American Grown, and it is about the garden that Mrs. Obama started on the South Lawn of the White House. It has lots of pictures, and recipes, and stories about how their garden was planned and how those plans changed as they became better gardeners. It was inspiring – I do recommend it!

Too bad I do not have land or even a sunny exposure to start my own garden. I guess I will just have to settle for the neat piles of vegetables at the supermarket.

♥♥♥ – Miss Giggles

PS – I have started working on my vacation wardrobe! So far, I have a straw fedora and nail polish called watermelon!

Miss Giggles,

I have been slaving over a hot oven in Cowtown for you tonight.

I baked some mini loaves of my tasty banana bread!

I forget where this recipe originally came from, so I have appropriated it as my own:

Mr. Lazy’s Tasty Banana Bread

Wet:
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. white sugar (or 1/2 white, 1/2 brown)
3 overripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla

Dry:
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix wet and dry ingredients separately, then combine. Grease and flour mini loaf pans (or use silicone pans). Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes for mini loaves, or 60 minutes for a regular loaf. Loaves are done when a toothpick inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean.

There you have it! Now you can bake your own banana bread.  :)

See you soon!
- Mr. Lazy
